Sound Healing

Sound is everywhere and a lot of what we experience in nature is our perception of waves. When these waves reach our ears, they become electrical signals that travel up to the auditory cortex in the brain, processing the sound and sending responses to our bodies. This could be a stress response but also more positive impulses such as feelings of calm and relaxation that can improve our mood drastically and even make us more productive and creative.

Singing bowl therapy

Tibetan singing bowls are a powerful ancient instrument that dates back as far as the 12th century, and has been used throughout Asia for meditation and healing purposes. They are used in sound healing therapy and are indeed becoming increasingly popular in the West.

The sound of a tibetan bowl calms the mind and has a repairing effect in the physical body – a sound massage is a very effective way of dissolving any aches and pains, many times result of accumulated tensions in the body. This therapy helps to slow down the heart rate, decreases the blood pressure and stimulates the blood circulation.

If you suffer from stress, anxiety or depression, therapy with singing bowls can help you returning to your normal state of calm and balance. They help activating the parasympathetic nervous system and bring you into a meditative state.

Believe or not, a sound massage of 45 minutes can be as effective as any other massage – the bowl is placed directly into key parts while the vibration travels into deeper layers of the body. The relaxation effect is incredible and nothing similar to anything you tried before!

This sound treatment is an intense and deep meditative experience. Seven Tibetan bowls are placed around the body in strategic places. The unique sound of each bowl will take you to a place beyond time and space, into a different dimension where profound transformation occurs.

”Didn’t quite know what to expect from a Tibetan bowl massage, but went with an open mind. To my surprise, I found this massage one of the most relaxing,  spiritual and emotional experiences I ever had and I highly recommend it”

Sound can also be an effective therapy to treat more serious and chronic health problems such as Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Parkinson’s disease and even shut down cancer cells. Check out the vibroacustic therapy page, founded by my teacher for more interesting information on this.
